Cookies and local storage
Version 1 · 25 October 2026
In short: the website rulicare.com uses no cookies. The app at app.rulicare.com only uses what is needed for you to log in and use it. We use no analytics, tracking or ads, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
The website rulicare.com
No cookies, no scripts and no analytics. Fonts and images are served from our own server, not from Google or anyone else.
The app app.rulicare.com
Cookies
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sid | Keeps you logged in. Contains only a random login number, no information about you. | 30 days after last use, or until you log out |
| tdev | Remembers that you chose "Remember this device" for two-factor login, so you do not have to enter the code every time. Only set if you choose it. | 30 days |
Both cookies can only be read by the app itself and are only sent over an encrypted connection.
Local storage in the browser
The app saves a few choices in the browser's local storage on your own device, so the screen looks the way you left it. For example, which view you chose in the calendar and under open shifts, whether a panel is open or closed, and when you last chose "Later" for installing the app. These choices are not sent to us.
Installed app and notifications
If you add the app to your home screen, the browser installs a small background part (a service worker). It shows notifications and a page when you are offline. It does not store your shifts on the phone. Notifications only work if you allow them in the app and on your phone.
Why there is no cookie banner
The rules require consent for cookies that are not necessary, such as analytics and marketing. Cookies and storage that are strictly necessary for a service the user has asked for do not require consent. We only use that kind. If we ever add something that requires consent, we will ask first.
How to delete them
You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you delete the sid cookie, you are logged out. If you delete tdev, you need to enter the code from your two-factor app next time.
